Description
Autofocus lens for macro photography up to life-size (1x) magnification. Inner focusing affords a long working distance of 5.9in. (149mm) at 1x. A 3-group floating system results in excellent delineation at all focusing distances. Ring USM for silent and high-speed AF, and full-time manual focusing also provided. The optional Tripod Mount Ring (B) B (with adapter) enables the lens to be rotated for vertical or horizontal framing.

I am really happy with the macro lens I purchased from you. I have only rated you four stars for customer service because you used Fed Ex to deliver my order. I wasnt told that my order would be delivered via Fed Ex and if I had known that I would have made alternative delivery arrangements. Fed Ex would not change the delivery address because the product was value at over $500 and had to get permission from you to do this. They were prepared to leave the parcel on the front doorstep which is in full view of the street. I cant understand why leaving a product valued at $500 was acceptable but changing the delivery address was not. I had to leave work early to get to the Fed Ex depot before they closed to collect my order. I wasnt happy with this process. I would suggest you ask people how they would like their order to be delivered. |

My first macro lens and I'm having a ball with it. It focuses at 30cm from the subject, giving a 1:1 magnification. It can take a little patience to get a subject in good focus because of the extremely shallow depth of field when this close, but it's worth it. I've managed to get decent closeups of jumping spiders, flies, the pollen on flowers and the tip of a ballpoint pen. Also functions well for larger subjects, such as people and pets, although you will generally need to be a few metres away from them to get a decent frame. Low light performance is also good, with the reasonably wide aperture of f/2.8. |
Q. Are the cameras, lenses, phones new? Are they different to the ones in the camera shops? As of 1/Sept/2011 Canon changed their Lens warranty to a limited regional warranty. |
