I Purchased this lens for a specific purpose, seabirds in flight and to this end the lens so far ticks all the boxes. As for quality, its an L lens. I saved quite a few dollars from where I normally purchase online and cannot fault the service. |

The Topbuy price is very reasonable and delivery was very fast, no complications just excellent service. This is a substancial piece of equipment requiring an equally sustancial financial investment. The lens is of solid build, quite compact for what it is but also quite heavy. Looks good and feels good on 7D, the balance is right. My test shots indicate that this is an excellent optic (just my opinion), the zoom ring at the front is not a problem and the autofocus is excellent. The IS definately makes a difference and goes some way to compensating for the largeish f stop. Canon should provide the tripod collar with the lens, anything less is simply exploitation, especially given the over inflated price that they ask for the item seperately. Overall I think I will be very happy with this purchase. |
Q. Are the cameras, lenses, phones new? Are they different to the ones in the camera shops? As of 1/Sept/2011 Canon changed their Lens warranty to a limited regional warranty. |
