Magic TV PVR is a full featured unit, BUT, and its a big BUT, its very sensitive to signal strength. When I connected up the device I could not get any channels, and thought it was broken, but after lots of experimentation discovered it was getting swamped by too stronger signals (I live in central Sydney). Once I bought an attenuator I was able to get all channels EXCEPT SBS. It makes excellent recordings, and if you upgrade the firmware you can move files to a PC and play then on a computer. You can record two channels and watch a third at the same time if two are subchannels on the same digital stream. Great quality recordings. TopBuy delivery was quick, and it was well packed. But whilst they tried to help me with the problem I had they said that I could return the unit but it would cost me if it was not "faulty". Pretty sure the signal swamping is design flaw, not a fault. So overall some strong positives, but also some warnings. I suspect in a weaker signal area it would |

Magic TV 4000 PVR is the best of 3 PVRs I have owned. Very simple to use so, good for the wife, and it does everything I want. I would recommend the product to anyone. |

The magic Twin tuner was everything I expected. Easy to use I have been recording a whole series of my favorite show. I didnt even miss out on favorite movie when I go out with friends. The product cam in ship shape condition I would not hesitate to order from Top Buy again.. |
