Large aperture, medium telephoto lens for the Four Thirds SystemThis large aperture lens becomes a medium telephoto lens offering 100mm equivalent angle of view on Four Thirds cameras. The optimum optical design and molded glass aspherical lens elements provide excellent correction of coma aberration. It ensures superior peripheral brightness and provides sharp, high contrast images even at the maximum aperture. The Super Multi Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. Superior optical performance is ensured throughout the focusing range. The rounded 9 blades diaphragm creates an attractive blur. This lens incorporates HSM (HyperSonic Motor), ensuring a quiet and high speed AF as well as full time manual focusing capability.

I sold my Canon 50mm f1.4 to help purchase this Lens beacause all the reviews I read claimed it was sharper. Let me say, I,m happy I did. The Sigma 50mm f1.4 is awesome and tack sharp across the frame even wide open, yes the Canon was good but the Sigma blows it away. I am an avid Canon user and in most cases thier lenses are much better than the Sigma equivelants with the exception of this lens and the 15mm f2.8 fisheye which I also purchased over Canon. I purchased through Topbuy because their prices and customer service are second to none, I had my lens 4 days after I paid for it. Thanks to the Topbuy team, I will certainly be dealing with you again and would recommend them to anyone wanting a cheap hassle free transaction. |
