If you are interested in wide angle photography then this is the lens for you. Most wide angle lenses have issues with sharpness at the edges and while this lens is no exception the issues are so minimal that only an armchair photo nut will be able to point them out. It is a Zeiss Lens after all and there really is nothing quite like it. This is a heavy lens yet with super fast auto focus thanks to the SSM mechanism. Couple it with a Hoya HD UV Filter and you wont have to worry about smudges or finger marks. If youre going to use a tripod make sure its the sturdiest you can afford because the weight of the lens plus camera means lots of vibrations during operation so a Manfrotto with a beefy head is your best bet.
