Once you use a Zeiss lens you will never again want to use anything else. There is simply no comparison in quality, shot after shot. This is a heavy lens yet with super fast auto focus thanks to the SSM mechanism. Couple it with a Hoya HD UV Filter and you wont have to worry about smudges or finger marks. If you buy only one lens for your Sony Camera, make it this one. The 24-70mm 2.8 focus and aperture will cover most if not all of your needs. If youre going to use a tripod make sure its the sturdiest you can afford because the weight of the lens plus camera means lots of vibrations during operation so a Manfrotto with a beefy head is your best bet. Ultimately though you really cant go wrong with this lens. It would take considerable talent to take a bad photo with this puppy. I purchased 2 Zeiss lenses from TopBuy and I saved a lot of money.
